Research

SusPaani Lab engages on the R&D of leading-edge as well as fit-for-purpose technologies for the treatment of wastewater and production of drinking water.

Currently, the Lab engages in research on aerobic biological wastewater treatment with focus on: Aquaculture effluents, Biocarrier development, Biofilm reactors, Greywater treatment, Nitrification, Organic micropollutants and Saline effluents.

We are looking forward to expand the research activities (particularly at postdoctoral level) also on nutrient recovery technologies (e.g. using microalgae) and  membrane technologies for water and wastewater treatment (preferably with focus on contaminants of emerging concern).
